If you’re going to succeed in the media industry, you need to learn to communicate really well. It is the foundation of so many other important skills: persuasion, negotiation, presentation. Misunderstandings are as common in business as they are in your social life. In both cases, they usually lead to problems, often costly and at the very least, stressful. More often than not such misunderstandings are avoidable and a direct result of poor communications. Thus, critical to effective communications is being C.L.E.A.R ™:
• Communication
o What is effective communication, how is it delivered and why does it go wrong?
• Language
o The different types and forms of communication and the power of words & body language
• Empathy
o Building empathy with your audience through true listening, asking the right questions and mirroring your understanding
• Awareness
o Understanding your audience and yourself, seeing both sides of the story and adapting to each situation
• Rapport
o Building trust and rapport with your colleagues and clients
This course:
Will give you a solid foundation of knowledge and practical expertise on how to improve the way you communicate internally and externally, with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
The session also includes some individual and group exercises and role plays to entrench the learning’s.
